What is the poem "Strange Rescue" doing as a prologue to The Panaga Saga ?

"Strange Rescue" records an earlier attempt by the Temple of Larani to recover the missing suit of armour that went down at Keron Isle. It is our later group of six, including yet another Paladin of Larani, which finally succeeds in the mission. For more information see most of Book Two of the Panaga Saga. Continuity between the two groups of six was provided in the person of the bard, Daniel. His experiences on the first expedition helped plan the second, including the more pragmatic attitude to the Winged Horses. The final assault on the Gargun Lair was aided in the opening stages by the map he originally drew from the mesa while waiting to be rescued.

In addition the lines:
"The mighty man of magic, Frost,
Kept his head when all was lost"
have an almost prophetic foresight when viewed with the advantage of hindsight of later events.

But of course the main reason is that Daniel Fichelscher is the author of both Strange Rescue and the Panaga Saga. Strange Rescue may be a piece of God awful doggerel, but its my God awful doggerel so I included it.
