Its 40 years since The Italian Job was released, and there was a program on the radio about it �When Real Women Wore Minis and Real Men Drove Them�. Apparently there was going to be a sequel originally, hence the cliffhanging ending. The follow up starts at the end of the original film with the sound of helicopters and then the bus lifts up. It is being hijacked by the Italian Mafia, who the British crooks had upset in the original. It would have been about the recovery of the gold by the British.

 

Aruth drives the mini and Blowhead wears them. There were also discussions about supporting parent�s computers, which not easy. And about computers, the internet, online computer games, and stuff.

 

We are going to spend the day resting and getting hit and power points back, and waiting for the loop to reset. Then 4 go through Daniel, Aruth, Sir Martyn and finally Zytsi (and in that order) with Zytsi lending Aruth his cloak (which makes him permanently Bear Strengthen) and Sir Martyn giving him one of his dodgy drugs. Bowlhead needs 18 rounds of warm up for the attack, the front rank will be Zytsi and Daniel so they have a True Aura each; Sir Martyn is the designated leader of the Combat Link. Sir Martyn does a +40 Inspirations and Daniel sings a +20 Inspirations.

 

Daniel takes 20 is unbalanced +7 hits and must parry for the next 3 rounds. Aruth is knocked down 55 hp & 2 snp. Sir Martyn takes a nose job and is blind for 2 weeks. Zytsi is stunned no parry for 3, at -10 and lots of damage. Aruth heals Daniel completely, except for the 3 must parries which aren�t a problem as I�m going to parry in the front rank. Bowlhead takes Zytsi�s damage. Next round Bowlhead slurps most of Sir Martyn�s damage but not the blindness and Aruth starts curing himself. They aren�t in the gap yet. Aruth cures the rest of his damage and the front rank is ready and starts moving forward. Once we get about half way long the 60 foot corridor the golems start coming towards us.

 

Daniel is facing the earthy one and Zytsi is facing the metallic one. Sir Martyn has the first attack, standing behind Daniel and poking with a spear, yes that spear. They miss us, and then Aruth fumbles but he makes his save against fumbling so he doesn�t (look just don�t ask OK) and he hits for about 3 times what Sir Martyn did.

The next round was similar but less nerve wracking, and the next one. On the fourth round the metallic one breaths poison and we all (except Bowlhead) have to save and we do. We are now on 50% action. The two crystalline golems behind start to glow. So they go first now and miss. Sir Martyn then manages to break his super duper spear but Aruth is still going. They have got faster so they are now hasted and we are slowed. One gets through and damages Daniel on a double roll up, and Aruth has nearly killed his.

Bowlhead slurps Daniel�s damage. Sir Martyn puts a Wall of Fire on the two crystalline golems, which achieves nothing. The one Aruth has been hitting looks pretty ropy.

On round 7 (so that�s every 3rd round) it breaths poison again. By this point Bowlhead has put an extra save versus poison on Sir Martyn and Daniel. We all save and it seems to have no effect. Aruth puts down the metallic one, which is the one that has been breathing poison.

 

One of the crystalline ones moves up on Zytsi and he takes an A Heat critical and is stunned two and one no parry. Daniel chest blast knocks him down, 12 hits, and 2 per round, that was a C Heat, and he stands up. The earthy golem then hits Daniel several times and he takes 165 points of damage, a stun, must parry at -20 and is down on damage and very nearly dead.

 

Next round Bowlhead takes all of Daniel�s damage so he takes the Heat critical. He drops the shield and it�s broken (but can be fixed). He grabs stuff and will crawl next round. The crystalline one hits Zytsi and breaks his nose. The earthy one boots Daniel for 39 points of damage, knocked 5 feet and broken leg is at -50% and 6 snp. Then 111 points, at -25% and 2 more snp. He stops moving. Aruth hits the crystalline golem for a bit of damage.

New round. The 90 A Heat critical knocks Zytsi down and does a bit of damage. He makes a routine manoeuvre to crawl behind Aruth. The golems move up on the new front rank of Sir Martin and Aruth. Aruth is bit upset as he takes an A Heat Critical but Stun Manoeuvres and is OK (ish). Aruth hits his after them not hitting him.

 

Round 10 and the poison effects has worn off, at last. The Heat critical damage has just gone up by one, and then there was a discussion about the critical reduction on Zytsi�s old armour now worn by Aruth as he was hit by it. Bowlhead slurps all of Aruth�s damage. Zytsi stands up and drags Daniel back a bit. Sir Martyn hits his does a 146 critical and knocks it down, but it wasn�t as it ignores Crush criticals. So that�s an inconsequential round.

 

Round 11 and the Heat Critical is annoying Zytsi who is having to Stun Manoeuvre a bit, but Sir Martyn and Aruth are not that upset. Bowlhead takes Zytsi�s damage. Aruth and Sir Martyn hits theirs, with Aruth back to poking over Zytsi�s head. Sir Martyn is having a lot of attacks this round; eight in total this round and he�s doing 40 points of damage a go. He is hit again and must parry next round. It goes down, whoops that means the other crystalline one can come in.

 

Round 12. Bowlhead slurps Zytsi�s damage again. The new one moves up and the new heat aura goes in, Zytsi is blinded for 6 rounds. So the front rank is completely blind so they are running away. Aruth picks up Daniel up and moves back to the loop, the rest move back a bit parrying and making manoeuvres as they go.

 

Round 13, and the heat goes up to E, luckily the front rank reduce to Cs. Daniel gets 60 hits back and is now conscious. Aruth steps through the loop and takes 20 points of damage and ignores the A. Daniel takes 40 points of damage and 2 from the critical and is knocked over again, wasn�t awake for very long. Then Sir Martyn goes through followed by Zytsi � and we�re out.

 

Daniels broken shield and new sword are 15 feet the other side of the loop. The dodgy side effects of the drugs will kick in soon, Aruth and Sir Martyn might be in trouble.

 

We retreat a bit.

 

The remaining quests that we are going to do are rings for Aruth�s staff, bowl for Bowlhead, and the rest are optional.
